In 2015, Peter S. Beagle sued his former manager for elder abuse, fraud, and other serious claims. Peter prevailed, but he was forced to continue the battle in bankruptcy court in order to retrieve his own intellectual property rights. Finally, he was successful there as well, and the Beagleverse® was created.
